Timothy Moe is Co-head of Economics, Commodities and Strategy (ECS) Research in Asia and is the Chief Asia Pacific Regional Equity Strategist. He is responsible for views on Asia Pacific Ex-Japan regional equity markets and communicating these perspectives to the firm’s institutional investor base. Mr. Moe and his team have been consistently rated among the top regional equity strategy groups. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2002 as a Managing Director in Global Investment Research in Hong Kong and was named Partner in 2006.

Mr. Moe began his career in Hong Kong with Jardine Fleming, where he was Head of Asia Ex-Japan Regional Research and Regional Strategist from 1985 to 1993. He held the same role at Salomon Brothers in Hong Kong from 1993 to 1996 before moving to New York, where he was a Partner at Omega Advisors, a global equity hedge fund.

Mr. Moe earned an MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business and a BA in Art History and Economics from New York University. He is a CFA charterholder.
